Permits have been filed for a 40-story mixed-use building at 100 Flatbush Avenue in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Located between Schermerhorn Street and State Street, the lot is two blocks from the Atlantic Terminal-Barclay Center subway station, serviced by the 2, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and R trains. Alloy Development, listed as the owner behind the applications, is developing 80 Flatbush on the adjacent plot, a complex that includes one of the tallest buildings in the borough.

Steelwork Reaches the Top Podium Level of Norman Foster’s 50 Hudson Yards

The steelwork is continuing its vertical ascent at 50 Hudson Yards, where the large rectangular floor plates have begun to reach the sixth and final floor of the podium. Designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, the supertall skyscraper will eventually stand 1,011 feet tall and contain 2.9 million square feet of office space. Oxford Properties and Mitsui Fudosan are developing the project, which is the final component in the first phase of Related Companies‘ Hudson Yards and will also be the largest office building by floor space in the 28-acre master plan.

First Look at JPMorgan Chase’s Future Supertall Headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, in Midtown East

Demolition preparation at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East continues to make headway, and today, YIMBY has the first renderings of Foster + Partners Architects’ planned headquarters for JPMorgan Chase. The supertall is apparently set to stand 1,425 feet to its rooftop, which would make it the third-tallest building by roof height in New York, at least ranked among current buildings. A tipster sent YIMBY images of the model for the project, alongside a rendering of what could be the final design for the highly anticipated supertall. Adamson Associates is listed as the architect of record.
