Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 69-65 Yellowstone Boulevard, in Forest Hills, Queens. The site is just three blocks away from the Forest Hills 71^st Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the E, F, M, and R trains, which offer a twenty-minute commute into Manhattan. Flushing Meadows Corona Park is another few blocks past the subway, and is home to the Queens Museum, Zoo and Botanical Garden. Slate Property Group will be responsible for development.

Permits Filed for 643 and 645 5th Avenue, South Slope, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for two lots at 643 and 645 5^th Avenue, in South Slope, Brooklyn. Developer Ranco Capital LLC hopes to create two mixed-use buildings, rising four and six floors respectively. The location is just blocks from the scenic Greenwood Cemetery, and surrounded by commercial retail. The nearest subway station, 25^th Street, is a half-mile away, and serviced by the D, N, R, and W trains.

Construction Complete at 554 Fourth Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn

Construction is complete, and sales have officially begun for a 36-unit building at 554 Fourth Avenue, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the 9^th Street Subway Station, serviced by the D, F, G, N, R, and W trains. Also nearby is the Gowanus Canal. Residents will start to occupy the 11-story structure by mid-2018. Brookland Capital is responsible for development, and Douglas Elliman’s Tavivian Team will lead sales and marketing.

COOKFOX-Designed 300 Lafayette Street Making Headway in SoHo

Last week, YIMBY featured an update on 606 Broadway, on West Houston Street. A few blocks east, an even larger building is rising on a slightly less irregularly-shaped lot, at 300 Lafayette Street, for which we have the latest images courtesy of Tectonic.

Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 28 Herbert Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The development comes at the neighborhood border with Greenpoint, and will be just a few blocks away from Monsignor McGolrick Park. The site is just a third of a mile from the Graham Street station, serviced by the L train. An anonymous LLC will be responsible for the development.

Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 32-58 105^th Street, in East Elmhurst, Queens. The site is located just around the corner from Northern Boulevard, an active commercial street with shops, restaurants, and the Langston Hughes Queens Library. The lot is two-thirds of a mile from the nearest subway station, 103 Street-Corona Plaza Station, serviced by the 7 train.

Rendering Revealed for 17-Story Addition to 441 Ninth Avenue, Hudson Yards

YIMBY’s last report on 441 Ninth Avenue was back when The Cove Property Group and hedge fund Baupost Group purchased the site. The two companies have now released a rendering, and information about plans that triple the floor count. Rentable square footage will balloon to 700,000 square feet, and 17 stories will be added atop the existing eight-story building, which will be gutted and redesigned.

New Condominium Project Revealed at 37-14 34th Street, Long Island City

Today YIMBY has the first rendering for New Empire Corporation’s plans to construct a new condominium project at 37-14 34th Street, in Long Island City, Queens. The site is just a block and a half away from the 36th street station, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. Also nearby is the Queens Museum of the Moving Image.

Leasing Begins for 428-Unit ARC LIC, at 30-02 39th Avenue, Long Island City

The opening of 30-02 39^th Avenue, in Long Island City, Queens, will bring another 428 rental units to the market. The site is on the same block as the 39^th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. The project is being named ARC, and The Lightstone Group is responsible for development.

Morris Adjmi-Designed 363 Lafayette Street Tops Out, East Village, Manhattan

Construction of the ten-story-tall office building at 363 Lafayette Street has topped out, with façade installation and interior work remaining. Today, we have images of the progress by Tectonic, revealing the concrete frame. YIMBY’s last report on the site revealed a redesign pushed by the Landmarks Preservation Commission, removing double-height sectioning from the original plans, and increasing the visibility of the black crossbeams, which simplified the façade.
