New Renderings Reveal 39-Story Reclad of 660 Fifth Avenue, in Midtown

YIMBY has a new batch of renderings that depict a full re-cladding of the 39-story 660 Fifth Avenue, a commercial building located between West 52nd Street and West 53rd Street. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Brookfield Properties, the $400 million project includes a 21st century facelift as well as the renovation of 1.5 million square feet of office space. Work is planned to commence once the ten remaining leases are completed and tenants vacate, some 12 to 18 months from now, as reported in a previous Wall Street Journal story.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for BPHN Senior Residences in East Flatbush, Brooklyn

The affordable housing lottery is now open for BPHN Senior Residences at 1488 New York Avenue, a seven-story mixed-use development in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Heritage Architecture and developed by Evangelical Crusade Christian Church and BEL Community Development, the 65,335-square-foot building will yield a total 89 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 58 studio apartments for senior residents at 50 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $0 to $45,500.

Exterior work is now fully complete at 25 Park Row, a 702-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in the Financial District, and what had been an active project on YIMBY’s annual December countdown list the past few years.
