Renderings are out for a new look coming to 155 East 44th Street. The office building’s entrance and lobby will be redesigned to resemble a welcoming environment, along with the lounge, terrace, and modernized pre-war offices. The 35-story office building, designed by Ely Jacque Kahn, will be renamed 10 Grand Central, in recognition of being located within Midtown’s Grand Central Submarket area.
It has been less than four years since permits were filed for 1059 Third Avenue, but thanks to Tectonic we can see the tower has now risen 21 floors above the Upper East Side, on the way to its 30-story pinnacle. The project is one of several new high-rises coming to the neighborhood. Real Estate Inverland and Third Palm Capital are responsible for the development. The site was purchased for $40 million in 2012, costing just over $330 per buildable square foot.
Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 618 Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is eight blocks away from the G train, whose service was shut down this last weekend. Pastor Luis Pastruizaca is listed as responsible for the development.

The site is five blocks away from the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Eight blocks away is an identically named station, serviced by 2, 3, and 4 trains. An anonymous LLC is listed as behind the applications.
Developer Forman Ferry has proposed redeveloping an existing two-story structure with a new 11-story commercial office building with ground floor retail. Located at 29 Jay Street in the DUMBO Historic District, the project would require approvals from both the Landmark Preservation Commission and the City Planning Department to proceed. The agencies will specifically review the 150-foot proposed height of the building, which requires new zoning amendments, and how the exterior facade would impact the existing aesthetic of the surrounding neighborhood.
