Renderings from NDKazalas Architecture have revealed a new eight-story residential building at 521 West 134th Street in Manhattan’s West Harlem neighborhood. From Haussmann Development, the building will eventually create 28 rental units spread across 19,000 square feet.
Permits have been filed for a 21-story mixed-use building at 404 Carroll Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Located adjacent to the Gowanus Canal between Nevins Street and Bond Street, the lot is a few blocks from the Carroll Street subway station, serviced by the F and G trains. The Vorea Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is continuing to rise on Calyer Place, a nearly 1-million-square-foot residential development on the Greenpoint, Brooklyn waterfront. Designed by Cooper Robertson & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and developed by M&H Realty LLC, the project includes a pair of 40-story towers along with 32- and 22-story siblings, and will yield around 700,000 square feet of residential space with 700 apartments, as well as 10,000 square feet of commercial space, 7,160 square feet for unspecified community facility use, and over 600 parking spaces. The land was once home to the historic Greenpoint Terminal Market, which suffered a ten-alarm fire and was demolished in 2017 before site preparations and construction began.
The Avenue, a vast retail wing of the American Dream Mall, has opened its doors to the public. Located at 1 American Dream Way in East Rutherford, New Jersey, The Avenue is the latest addition to the 3.3-million-square-foot destination, which has gradually opened after a temporary half-year closure in 2020. The long wing is located on the eastern end of the complex and focuses on designer retail shops, with Saks Fifth Avenue as the largest tenant.
FBL Development has revealed the first renderings of 81-07 Kew Gardens Road, a new eight-story building in Kew Gardens, Queens. The structure will eventually comprise 48,000 square feet with a mix of rental apartments and a ground-floor retail space.
