Documents Confirm 1,522-Foot Parapet Height for 217 West 57th Street, aka Nordstrom Tower

The permitting process surrounding high-profile projects is becoming increasingly convoluted, with ‘dummy filings’ now commonly submitted prior to actual new building applications. This is particularly true at 217 West 57th Street, which still doesn’t have any on-site renderings. But luckily some new supporting documents have been filed with the city, revealing what appear to be the actual height numbers for the tower’s parapet and roof, confirming it will become the country’s tallest building.

Five-Story, Three-Unit Building Planned At 136 Ainslie Street, Williamsburg

Dominick D’Erasmo, an executive at Pandora Inc., has filed applications for a five-story, three-unit residential building at the vacant lot at 136 Ainslie Street, in eastern Williamsburg. Residences will measure an average 1,170 square feet and will start on the second floor, with the fourth and fifth floors housing a single penthouse unit. Frederick Goldberg is the architect of record.


69 East 125th Street

Rendering for 12-Story Mixed-Use Building At 69 East 125th Street, East Harlem

In February, YIMBY brought you news of Greystone & Co.’s planned 12-story, 75-unit mixed-use building at 69 East 125th Street, in northern East Harlem. Now Harlem+Bespoke has an on-site rendering of the project, which will feature 5,640 square feet of retail space, per applications approved in May. Kutnicki Bernstein Architects is designing, and completion is expected in June 2017, per signage. Existing four- and single-story structures, which were filed for demolition in February, must first be removed.
