DXA Studio has revealed plans to renovate the façade of a landmarked warehouse building in Union Square, Manhattan. Located at 827-831 Broadway, the property is the former home of artist Willem de Kooning and is recognized for its ornate cast-iron and marble façade.
Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 2375 Lorillard Place in Belmont, The Bronx. Located between Third Avenue and East 187th Street, the interior lot is closest to Fordham Road subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Yosef Kfir is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Façade work is getting closer to completion on the Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1185 Broadway, a 580-foot-tall skyscraper in NoMad and number 27 on our countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in the city. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Marriott, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 40-story tower will yield 150,000 square feet and 250 guest rooms. The project is located at the intersection of Broadway and West 28th Street.

The NYCHA has revealed plans to significantly renovate and repair its aging portfolio of affordable housing properties in a deal valued at $271 million. Referred to as PACT, or Permanent Affordability Commitment Together, the consortium of public and private entities has committed to renovations on 16 individual buildings including 1,718 apartments throughout Manhattan.
Permits have been filed for a 26-story mixed-use tower and a 16-story mixed-use building at 2910 West 15th Street in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Located on Surf Avenue from West 15th to West 16th Streets, the structures are also addressed as 1515 Surf Avenue and 2919 West 16th Street, respectively. Two blocks away is the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station, serviced by the D, F, N, and Q trains. LCOR under the Surf Avenue L/CAL LLC is listed as the owner behind both applications.
