Demolition of 1568 Broadway Set to Begin This Winter For “TSX Broadway” in Times Square

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton has long been located at the intersection of 7th Avenue and West 47th Street. But in a few more years, the soon-to-be former hotel will house Times Square’s newest project, a nearly $2.5 billion redevelopment by L&L Holding Company, Maefield Development, and Fortress Investment Group. With the site purchased for $450 million, they plan to demolish the existing hotel and create a new 550,000 square foot and 46-story skyscraper, dubbed TSX Broadway. Plans also integrate the 105-year old Palace Theater. Approved by the Landmark Preservation Commission in November 2015, the historic structure will be lifted from its foundations and placed 30 feet above street level.

Rockrose Files Permits for 52-Story Tower at 555 West 38th Street in Hudson Yards

New permits have been filed for a 52-story residential building at 555 West 38th Street in the Hudson Yards district of Manhattan. While the site is across the street from the Jacob Javits Convention center, it is not immediately next to Related’s mega-development, being five blocks away from 55 Hudson Yards. Rockrose will be responsible for the development.

Pacific Park’s Newest 750-Unit Tower Revealed at 18 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Details have been revealed for an enormous new 750-unit residential tower at 18 6th Avenue, in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The site is right beside the Barclays Center and is part of Pacific Park, formerly known as Atlantic Yards,  a multi-billion dollar 22-acre mega-project that has already seen the completion of four of fifteen eventual buildings. TF Cornerstone and The Brodsky Organization have also now joined Greenland Forest City Partners to finish the project, acquiring land where three of the prospective future skyscrapers will imminently rise.
