Skyline Tower Becomes The Tallest Building in The Outer Boroughs, in Long Island City

The glass curtain wall is steadily climbing up the Skyline Tower’s superstructure in Long Island City. Located at 23-15 44th Drive, the residential skyscraper will soon stand 778 feet tall, making it the tallest building in New York outside of Manhattan. The 67-story project is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by United Construction & Development Group, FSA Capital, and Risland US Holdings LLC. Modern Spaces is the exclusive marketing and sales agency for the 802 residences, which are designed by Whitehall Interiors and will range in price from $500,000 to $4 million. The team has reportedly already sold more than $223 million in inventory since the soft launch in May. The development is also the first in Queens to break the $1 billion price mark.

Exterior Work at The Prime Making Progress at 22-43 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City

The Prime, a 120,000-square-foot mixed-use development at 22-43 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, is taking shape. Scaffolding and netting shroud the entire façade, with work on the blue-colored waterproofing membrane visible behind the screen. SRA Architecture + Engineering is the designer of the 11-story building, which is being developed by Circle F. Ryan Serhant of The Serhant Team and Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing: New York is head of sales and marketing for the 71 residential units, which average around 900 square feet apiece. Interiors are being designed by Andres Escobar of Lemay + Escobar.

YIMBY Scopes Views From the Top of Jeanne Gang’s 11 Hoyt Street in Downtown Brooklyn

YIMBY recently went on a hard-hat tour of Jeanne Gang’s 620-foot-tall, 57-story skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The wavy, rippling precast façade has reached the flat roof parapet, while work on the podium and lower floors is headed toward completion. Tishman Speyer is the developer and Hill West is the architect of record for the Studio Gang-designed residential project. Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of landscaping for the outdoor green space above the motor courtyard and podium section.
