Long Island City’s Future Tallest Skyscraper, Skyline Tower, Now Rising Above Street Level

Already several floors above street level in the heart of Long Island City, Court Square City View Tower, aka 23-15 44th Drive, is rising steadily towards its 778-foot tall pinnacle above Queens. The building will have 67 floors of residential living, and rise higher than the stepped crown of the Citibank building, aka One Court Square, which will make it the tallest building in all of Queens. CSCVT is currently the 22nd-tallest tower rising in the Five Boroughs overall, and is set to contain nearly one million square feet of space, with 802 units. The project is being designed by Hill West Architects while the developer is United Construction & Development Group.

Skyline Views From the Top of COOKFOX-Designed 25 Park Row, in Lower Manhatan

YIMBY recently toured COOKFOX’s 25 Park Row, and snapped the sunset and skyline views from the 41st floor of the 49-story, 665-foot tall residential skyscraper. Standing on what would be a full-floor unit, the space will soon be home to some of the best views of both Lower Manhattan, and Midtown to the north. The tower is developed by  L&M Development Partners and the J&R Music Store founders, while sales of the 110 units are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.

LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B

First New Gates Open for LaGuardia Airport’s $8 Billion Redevelopment

Earlier this month, the Eastern Concourse in LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B opened its first new gates to the public. The revamp is part one of an $8 billion, 2.7 million square foot redevelopment at one of the nation’s busiest airports, which also includes a rebuild of Terminal C. In undertaking this multi-phase construction plan, LGA had to remain fully operational to their 30-million passengers a year. Old facilities were demolished only as new facilities were completed, ensuring the airport never loses capacity. When complete, LGA will be the first new airport built in the country in more than 25 years.

Excavation and Foundation Work Underway for Extell’s 50 West 66th Street, Soon-To-Be Tallest Tower on the Upper West Side

Situated across the street from the ABC News television studios on the Upper West Side is the site of 50 West 66th Street. Just off of Columbus Avenue, the future 775-foot high residential tower will be the tallest on the Upper West Side when complete. It is being designed by Snohetta and developed by Extell, and is currently the 23rd tallest skyscraper under construction in the Five Boroughs.
