Warren Street Hotel’s Exterior Nears Completion at 86 Warren Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on the Warren Street Hotel, an 11-story building at 86 Warren Street in Tribeca. Designed by Paul Taylor with Stonehill Taylor and developed by Firmdale on a land lease from Solil Management, the 135-foot-tall structure will span 44,000 square feet and yield 69 guest rooms operated by Firmdale Hotels, as well as the 150-seat Warren Bar and Restaurant, a drawing room, an orangery, and a private event space. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and Kit Kemp is the interior designer for the project, which rises from the site of a former parking lot between Greenwich Street and West Broadway.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 35 Commercial Street, a newly constructed affordable housing property in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located within the Greenpoint Landing mega-complex, the 22-story building will contain 374 permanently affordable apartments and 7,600 square feet of retail space on the lower levels. The project is developed by Park Tower Group along with Greenpoint Landing Associates, New York City’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

Excavation and pilings are getting underway at 111 Washington Street, the site of a 64-story residential skyscraper in Manhattan’s Financial District. Developed by Carlisle New York Apartments, the 712-foot-tall structure will yield 326,221 square feet with 462 residential units, 7,000 square feet of commercial space, and a 60-foot-long rear yard. Consigli Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 8 Carlisle Street and located at the corner of Washington and Carlisle Streets.
