Models Give Glimpse of Possible Re-Design of Two World Trade Center in the Financial District

Some recent photos taken by an anonymous tipster of design models for Two World Trade Center (2 WTC) give insight into the possible composition of the highly anticipated skyscraper. Also known as 200 Greenwich Street, the future 1,350-foot-tall office development from Silverstein Properties is expected to be the second-tallest building at the World Trade Center site, and is also the last major component to be built as part of the complex. Located at the southwest corner of Church and Vesey Streets, the site currently sits as an assemblage of columns and mechanical ducts surrounded in muraled walls.

555 West 38th Street stands topped out as a 570-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. Developed by Rockrose and designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects with SLCE as the architect of record, the 52-story reinforced concrete structure will yield a total of 598 rental units. Site C GC LLC is stated on the construction board as the general contractor for the project, which is located along Eleventh Avenue between West 38th Street and West 39th Street, and sits directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center.

The Civilian At 305 West 48th Street Set To Open This Week In Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction is complete on The Civilian, a 27-story hotel at 305 West 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, and the property is preparing to open to the public later this week. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architects and developed by Bright Management with Rockwell Group as the interior designer, the 303-foot-tall tower spans 73,000 square feet, with 203 guest rooms spread across 59,000 square feet. Joy Construction served as the general contractor for The Civilian, which is located at the corner of West 48th Street and Eighth Avenue, a short walk from Times Square and the Theater District.
