Leasing has launched for The Willoughby, a 34-story tower at 196 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Developed by RXR Realty, the project will deliver 476 rental units, academic and office spaces, a new adjacent athletic field, and parking for 564 vehicles when it opens this fall. Douglas Elliman Real Estate is handling leasing with prices starting at $2,870 a month for studios, $3,840 for one-bedrooms, and $5,660 for two-bedrooms.

The Midtown Plaza parking garage will soon be converted into Manhattan’s first dedicated indoor electric vehicle charging site for public use. Located at 401 West 42nd Street, the street-level garage is designed to accommodate 29 vehicles and will be equipped with True Fast charging stations that replenish electric vehicle batteries much faster than standard-grade chargers.

9 DeKalb Avenue Approaches Supertall Status in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is continuing to rise on 9 DeKalb Avenue, a 93-story residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn, as the structure nears the 984-foot-tall threshold that will make it the first supertall in the outer boroughs. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS, the 1,066-foot-tall project will yield 400 rental apartments, 30 percent of which are marketed at affordable housing rates, and 150 condominiums above a retail podium bound by Flatbush Avenue Extension to the northeast, Fleet Street to the northwest, the landmark Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn to the southwest, and DeKalb Avenue to the south.
