Leasing Launches for Eagle + West Towers in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Leasing has launched for the Eagle + West towers, developed by Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group and designed by OMA in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The 745-unit waterfront complex is part of the Greenpoint Landing master plan development. Greenpoint Landing, when complete, will include 5,500 apartments in a mix of market-rate and permanently affordable units, a waterfront park designed by James Corner Field Operations, and numerous local retail opportunities. Beyer Blinder Belle Architects served as the executive architect for Eagle + West towers with amenity interior design by Marmol Radziner.

Exterior Work Wraps Up on Google Headquarters at 550 Washington Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Construction has reached the final stages on Google’s 1.3 million-square-foot headquarters at 550 Washington Street in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Oxford Properties, the project involves the repurposing and vertical expansion of the former St. John’s Terminal building along the Hudson River waterfront. The 232-foot-tall structure will serve as the centerpiece of the 1.7 million-square-foot “Googleplex” master plan along with 315 Hudson Street and 345 Hudson Street. Turner Construction is the general contractor for the property, which spans two full city blocks between West Street, West Houston Street, Washington Street, and the New York Department of Sanitation building.

Foster + Partners, Epstein Announced as Architectural Advisors for Port Authority’s Midtown Bus Terminal in Times Square, Manhattan

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has selected Foster + Partners and Epstein to help reimagine Manhattan’s 72-year-old Midtown Bus Terminal in Times Square. The replacement project will create a new terminal for New York City buses, dedicated spaces for intercity buses, staging areas, electric vehicle charging stations, outward-facing retail, and 3.5 acres of public green space.
