Construction is progressing on 57 Caton Place, a nine-story residential building in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architect and developed by an Aview Equities affiliate, the 95-foot-tall structure will span 130,569 square feet and yield 131 apartments with 14 studios, 55 one-bedrooms, 57 two-bedrooms, and five three-bedroom units, as well as 12,990 square feet of retail space and 74 below-grade parking spaces. Jun’s Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 23 Ocean Parkway and bound by Ocean Parkway to the north and Caton Place to the south.

Park 79 Affordable Senior Housing Project Debuts at 117 West 79th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Developers and city officials gathered at 117 West 79th Street to celebrate the opening of Park 79, a new affordable housing project for seniors on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The building contains 77 apartments, on-site supportive and social services, and a collection of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for 101 Macombs Place in Harlem, Manhattan

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 101 Macombs Place, a seven-story residential building in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architect with YossiG and developed by Mordechai Hirsch, the structure yields 29 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are nine units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $93,909 to $198,250. New tenants get one month of free rent.

222 East Broadway Finishes Construction on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

Construction is about to wrap up on 222 East Broadway, a 28-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Optimum Asset Management, the 84,271-square-foot structure will yield 70 units in studio to four-bedroom layouts with interiors by Paris Forino and an average scope of 1,397 square feet. Mark K Morrison is the landscape architect and Cantor Pecorella is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is located by the corner of East Broadway and Clinton Street.

Construction Wraps Up on 163 Roebling Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction wrapped up last month on architecture firm FORMA’s first multi-residential project in New York City. Located at 163 Roebling Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, work on the 4,800-square-foot property consisted of a gut renovation and a vertical residential addition. Saffrock Investments LLC is the developer with construction by SAMA Construction and structural engineering by Murray Engineering.

Anagram’s Façade Nears Completion at 1 West 60th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Exterior work continues to progress on Anagram, a 25-story residential tower at 1 West 60th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Global Holdings Management Group, the 281-foot-tall structure will span 180,813 square feet and yield 123 market-rate and affordable housing units with interiors by The Setting, as well as 20,000 square feet of retail space on the first two levels. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 1841 Broadway and located at the corner of Broadway and West 60th Street, just north of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park.

Developers Reveal Completed 249-Unit Passive House Building at 42 West Broad Street in Mount Vernon

Alexander Development Group and The Bluestone Organization have just completed one of the world’s largest Passive House multifamily rental properties at 42 West Broad Street in Mount Vernon, New York. Known simply as 42 Broad, the property is designed by Perkins Eastman and comprises 249 market-rate apartments, more than 20,000 square feet of amenities, a parking garage, and high-efficiency mechanicals that significantly limit the structure’s energy use and carbon emissions.

Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Argo Real Estate and Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall structure will span 55,000 square feet and yield 28 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the The Eklund ǀ Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail space. SPACE Copenhagen is the interior designer, Deborah Nevins is the landscape designer, and CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 10th and East 11th Streets.
