A 21-story residential tower and cultural center has topped out at 2301 Fifth Avenue in East Harlem. The base of the building will house the National Black Theatre, retail space, a multipurpose “communal living room” open to the public. The upper levels of the building will house Ray Harlem, a 222-unit rental component.
This week crews poured the final floor on the 19-story new residential development at 159 Boerum Street in Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg neighborhood. Developed by Slate Property Group in partnership with Avenue Realty Capital and SD Builders and Construction LLC, the 216-foot-tall structure will yield 116,000 square feet and 162 units when complete with 49 apartments designated as affordable housing.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2454 East 15th Street, a three-story residential building in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Designed by Citiscape Consulting and developed by Jacob Ashkenazie, the structure yields nine residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $77,143 to $198,250.
Construction is in full swing at 23-02 42nd Road, the site of a 37-story mixed-use building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Werwaiss Properties, the 372-foot-tall structure will yield 230,000 square feet with 240 residential units spread across 163,000 square feet, as well as 10,000 square feet of commercial space and 91 parking spaces. Suffolk Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located between 23rd and 24th Streets.
Preliminary renderings posted at a construction site in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn are the first to reveal a new, two-building multifamily development. The project is being developed by CroxDale Real Estate and will comprise two adjacent structures at 625 and 633 New York Avenue.
