YIMBY first reported on permits for 118 East 59th Street back in September of 2014, and we posted the first renderings back in January. Now we have the full set of images depicting both exteriors and interiors for the project, and its website has also gone live.
South Slopers were sad to read about the sale and development plans for Polish grocer Eagle Provisions, which shut its doors earlier this summer at 628 5th Avenue in Greenwood Heights. But a small piece of the old structure will live on in a new residential development, forged by partially demolishing and expanding the the shop’s three existing tenements at 626-630 5th Avenue. Alteration applications were filed last week, and YIMBY has renderings depicting the site’s future.

An 11-story condo development will replace a low-slung building at 287 East Houston Street, between Suffolk and Clinton Streets in the Lower East Side. New building applications were filed today to erect a 28-unit building on the lot wedged between two five-story tenements.
Back in May, foundation work was underway at 51-59 South 4th Street, on the corner of Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, where six four-story townhouses are planned. Now the concrete structure is three stories tall, according to Brownstoner. The townhouses are being developed by KUB Capital, and five are currently in contract. KUB Design and SZ Projects are co-designing, and completion is expected by the end of this year.
