Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 805 Monroe Street in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Patchen Avenue and Ralph Avenue, the interior lot is near the Kosciuszko Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Isaac Lichtman is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction has kicked off on Fischer Senior Apartments, a senior housing property at 97 West 169th Street in Highbridge, The Bronx. Designed by Shakespeare Gordon Vlado Architects and developed by West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing (WSFSSH), the structure will yield 105 homes for seniors, including 54 units for the formerly homeless. All of the units will be reserved for households 55 years and older making less than 50 percent of the area median income.
Construction is nearing completion on the Urban League Empowerment Center, a 17-story mixed-use building at 121 West 125th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by The Prusik Group, BRP Companies, L+M Development Partners, and Taconic Partners, the 414-000-square-foot structure will yield 170 affordable housing units, 70,000 square feet of Class A office space, and 110,000 square feet of retail area including a Target and a 28,000-square-foot Trader Joe’s on the ground floor. The development will serve as the home for the National Urban League and the Urban Civil Rights Experience Museum. Congress Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is located between West 126th Street to the north, 125th Street to the south, Malcolm X Boulevard to the east, and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard to the west.
Renderings from OPerA Studio Architecture are the first to reveal a new condominium building at 222 North 8th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. When the project was initially filed with the Department of Buildings, WSQ Global was the project’s developer.
Construction is set to commence at 303 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where a one-story commercial property is being expanded into a five-story mixed-use condominium building. Designed by ND Architecture & Design PC, the new 55-foot-tall structure will span 22,874 square feet and yield 22 residential units with an average scope of 1,004 square feet, as well as 6,074 square feet of commercial space, 395 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. B Contractors Group LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Wythe Avenue and South 2nd Street.
