168 Plymouth Street’s Expansion and Conversion Taking Shape in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Work is progressing on the loft conversion and two-story expansion of 168 Plymouth Street in the DUMBOBrooklyn Historic District. Alloy Development is bringing 46 units to the 100-year-old structure that was once the home of the Concrete Daylight Factory, aka 42 Jay Street. The adjacent 130-year-old Brick & Timber Building, aka 50 Jay Street, is also undergoing renovations and a one-story expansion atop the original roof parapet.

Extell Development Company has announced a major joint venture with global investment entity Tennor Holding B.V. to complete 50 West 66th Street, a 775-foot-tall residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. When finished, the building will wrest the title of tallest building in the neighborhood from 200 Amsterdam Avenue.

Excavation is underway at 200 Montague Street, aka 192 Montague Street, the site of a 20-story residential building in the Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District of Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, the 140,700-square-foot structure will rise from a 46,000-square-foot plot that was previously occupied by a four-story commercial building. James M. Patterson of Ancora Engineering is listed as the applicant of record.
