Construction is nearing completion on 217 West 20th Street, a six-story private residence in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by TEN Arquitectos in collaboration with Elsa Ponce Architectural Design and developed by Bermuda Overseas Mission under the 217 West 20th Street LLC, the structure will yield 11,000 square feet with a ground-floor garage. Wesbuilt Construction Mangers is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues.

Designed by Jongmin Kim Architects and developed by Moshe Jacobowitz, the structure yields 12 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $137,143 to $215,150.

KPF’s 64 University Place Progresses in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on 64 University Place, an 11-story residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall structure will span 55,000 square feet and yield 28 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the The Eklund ǀ Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail space. SPACE Copenhagen is the interior designer, Deborah Nevins is the landscape designer, and CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 10th and East 11th Streets.

Foundation Work Continues at 14 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Foundation work is continuing at 14 Fifth Avenue, the site of a 19-story residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Hill West Architects and developed by Madison Realty Capital, which purchased the 5,255-square-foot plot for $27.5 million in 2015, the 241-foot-tall structure will yield 20 condominiums. CM & Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 8th and East 9th Streets, just north of Washington Square Park.

Developers and local officials recently gathered to celebrate the beginning of construction at 70 Pier Street, a new multifamily rental property in Yonkers, New York. Led by Ginsburg Development Companies, the four-story building is located in the city’s Ludlow neighborhood and will eventually contain 36 rental apartments, ground-floor retail space, and parking garage for up to 35 vehicles.

Revel Opens New York’s Largest Ultra-Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Hub at ‘The Dime’ in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

The Dime Building at 275 South Fifth Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is now home to the largest ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in New York State. Building owners Charney Companies and Tavros Capital recently announced the deal with electric vehicle company Revel, which will also relocate its corporate headquarters to the development.
