Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1262 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Bushwick Avenue and Halsey Street, the lot is two blocks from the Halsey Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Salvatore D’Avola of Neighborhood Restore HDFC, an affordable housing development non-profit is listed as the owner behind the applications.
OMA released a new preliminary rendering of 41-47 West 57th Street, which YIMBY reported on last week when it was heard that the planned mixed-use 1,100-foot-high supertall would rise along Billionaires’ Row over West 57th Street over the next several years. Crain’s reported that Sedesco will also offer to bring in a pair of new ADA-accessible elevators to the nearby 57th Street station on Sixth Avenue in exchange for an additional 52,000 square feet of space for the potential 443,100-square-foot Midtown, Manhattan project. About 237,100 square feet will be devoted toward residential usage with 119 units, while nearly 205,100 square feet of commercial space will make room for a 158-room hotel and a 10,212-square-foot restaurant. 41-47 West 57th Street is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and will include ground-floor frontage on both West 57th and 58th Streets.
Construction is progressing on 8 Palmetto Street, a new seven-story mixed-use building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Residential area is the building’s primary use type and will eventually yield 88 rental apartments. The project, also referred to as 1389 Broadway, is designed by GF55 Partners for private developer Erik Ekstein.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1098 Madison Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The four-story residential building is designed by L&C Associates and yields eight units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are two units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $66,000 to $139,620.
Leasing has officially launched at Two South Willow, a new rental property at 2 South Willow Street in downtown Montclair, New Jersey. Designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve and Minno Wasko with interiors by Kara Mann Design, the six-story building yields 200 apartments ranging from studios up to two-bedroom accommodations. Each home features open living spaces, modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets for many of the residences, and in-unit washer dryers. Select units will have a private terrace or balcony.
