HPD Reveals Plans for a Residential Building at 633 Dekalb Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

The Department of Housing Preservation and Development has submitted permits to construct a new seven-story residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located at 633 Dekalb Avenue, the proposed property would comprise nearly 40,000 square feet and top out at 69 feet tall. Magnusson Architecture and Planning, a New York-based design studio, is listed on the submitted permits as the applicant of record and will most likely serve as executive architect for the new building.

Located at 402 Mother Gaston Boulevard, the building will comprise 87,146 square feet offering a mix of apartments, commercial area, community facilities, and an enclosed parking structure designed to accommodate 94 vehicles.

202 Broome Street’s Curtain Wall Reaches Final Tiered Setback, on the Lower East Side

The glass curtain wall of 202 Broome Street has reached the final setback of the 14-story mixed-use building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by CetraRuddy, the property will feature 175,000 square feet of Class A offices with a max of 13-foot-high ceilings, 34,500 square feet of retail space, 83 residential units, and a 9,000-square-foot indoor park and recreation area called Broome Street Gardens. The project is part of the six-acre Essex Crossing complex, which is being developed by Delancey Street Associates, BFC Partners, L+M Development Partners, Taconic Investment Partners, The Prusik Group, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group.

Exterior Work at 100 Franklin Street Nears Completion in Tribeca

Exterior work is wrapping up on 100 Franklin Street in Tribeca, a residential building designed, developed, and built by DDG. The intricate 200-foot-long stretch of hand-laid Petersen Tegl bricks that enclose the main six- and eight-story eastern profile is complete, revealing a number of subtle and distinctive details. The development is located in the Tribeca East Historic District on a narrow triangular property and yields a total of ten full-floor residences. Douglas Elliman is in charge of sales for the units, which range from 1,427 to 3,673 square feet.
