It was back in May of 2014 that YIMBY brought you work of permits being filed for a 60-unit mixed-use development at 153 Remsen Street, between Clinton Street and Court Street in Brooklyn Heights. In July of 2015, we reported that excavation and piling work had begun. Since then the building has reached about four floors, as seen in photos from our friend Tectonic. Staten Island-based Keegans Construction Corp. has filed applications for four three-story, two-family residential buildings at 12-24 Norman Place, in Prince’s Bay, located on the south shore. Two of the buildings will individually measure 3,568 square feet in total and the other two will each measure a slightly less 3,443 square feet. The residential square-footage across the entire development will total 10,594 square feet, which means units will average 1,324 square feet apiece. The units will likely be geared for families and, therefore, would contain multiple bedrooms. Staten Island-based Calvanico Associates is the architect of record. The 160-foot-wide lot is currently occupied by a single-story home.

Long Island City-based Ascent Development has filed applications for a four-story, three-unit residential building at 10-27 47th Road, in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City, located a few blocks from stops on the G and 7 subways. The project will measure 5,000 square feet and all three units will be duplexes. One duplex will take the first two floors and the other two duplexes will split the upper half of the building and the roof terrace. If both floors in each duplex are calculated separately, the six individual dwellings would average 833 square feet apiece. Jorge Mastropieto Atelier is the architect of record, and demolition permits were filed for the existing two-story townhouse in November.

Gabriel Eisen, doing business as an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential building at 1727 49th Street, in southern Borough Park, located five blocks from the 18th Avenue stop on the F train. Brooklyn-based Eretz Builders Assistance, a general contractor, is the applicant of record. The site’s old two-story, two-unit house was demolished this past December.
