DHA Capital is in contract to purchase the three-story parking garage located at 75 Kenmare Street, in Nolita, for roughly $50 million, according to Bowery Boogie. The new owner plans to develop a 68,000 square-foot mixed-use building featuring luxury residential units and retail space. Most units will measure closer to 1,000 square feet, smaller than other new-construction condos in the area, according to The Real Deal, who was also the first to report the news.
The Naftali Group’s 20-story luxury condominium project at 234 East 23rd Street, in Gramercy, has risen quickly since construction began last year. The new building consists of 57 units, and now YIMBY has fresh renderings of the penthouse.
In December, foundation work began on the 50-story, 974-unit mixed-use building planned at 43-25 Hunter Street, in Long Island City’s Court Square. Rebar and concrete have now reached the second story of the 786,105 square-foot building, which will feature 18,800 square feet of retail, according to The Court Square Blog. Rockrose is developing, and SLCE is the architect. YIMBY revealed renderings in 2014, and completion is scheduled for the middle of 2017.
Last summer, YIMBY brought you renderings of 215 Chrystie Street, a 28-story, 370-hotel-room mixed-use tower now under construction on the Lower East Side. According to Bowery Boogie, concrete and rebar are up to the second floor. Ian Schrager and Witkoff are developing, and Herzog & de Meuron is the design architect. Completion is scheduled for late 2016.
The Olnick Organization has filed pre-applications with the city, beginning the ULURP process that would rezone Lenox Terrace, a tower-in-the-park development bound by West 132nd and 135th Streets, and Malcolm X Boulevard and 5th Avenue in central Harlem. According to DNAinfo, the complex has six 17-story towers, which make up 1,700 residential units, and nearly 96,600 square feet of commercial space is located within perimeter low-rise buildings.
