Realty, the 66-foot-tall structure will span 27,850 square feet and yield 20 units spread across 14,950 square feet, as well as 5,655 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a 7,244-square-foot cellar level, and 4,775 square feet of enclosed parking space for 13 vehicles. World Hub Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between 40th Avenue and 40th Road.

Construction is complete on Gotham Point’s north tower, a 57-story residential skyscraper at 1-15 57th Avenue in Hunters Point South, Queens. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Riseboro Community Partnership, the 559-foot-tall structure yields 692 rental units and is also known as Parcel F in a two-tower master plan alongside its shorter 33-story, 443-foot-tall sibling, Parcel G. The property is bound by Center Boulevard to the north, 56th Avenue to the east, and 57th Avenue to the west.

Excavation at 740 Eighth Avenue Progresses Further Below Street Level in Midtown, Manhattan 

Excavation is progressing at 740 Eighth Avenue, the site of a 52-story supertall hotel and observation tower in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by ODA with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Extell, the 1,067-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 776,000 square feet with 825 hotel rooms in its lower half and a public observatory with a drop ride attraction above. The unconventionally-shaped structure will also contain retail space, two upper restaurant floors, and a pool deck for guests. Lendlease is the general contractor, WSP is the structural engineer, and Ancora Engineering is handling excavation and foundations for the property, which is located on an expansive lot along Eighth Avenue between West 45th and 46th Streets on the border of Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen.
