Three-Story, Two-Unit Mixed-Use Building Filed At 291 North 8th Street, Williamsburg

On a 1,040 square-foot vacant lot in northern Williamsburg, GB Properties plans to build a three-story, two-unit mixed-use building measuring just 5,202 square feet. The piece of land is at 291 North 8th Street, two blocks north of the G train’s stop at Metropolitan Avenue, and the building will feature 3,131 square feet of retail space on the ground and cellar levels. Above, full-floor units will average 1,040 square feet apiece. Robert Bahary’s Great Neck-based Bahary Architecture is designing.


1519 52nd Street

Four-Story Mixed-Use Project Planned at 1519 52nd Street, Borough Park

Michael Gross, operating as an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a four-story, single-residence mixed-use building at 1519 52nd Street, in southern Borough Park, between 15th and 16th Avenues. The entire building will measure 9,979 square feet, and includes a 1,955 square-foot religious facility in the basement level. The upper three levels will encompass an 8,024 square-foot home. Kenneth Thomas is the applicant of record, and a 2.5-story structure must first be demolished.


120 North 6th Street

Revealed: 120 North 6th Street, Williamsburg Office and Retail Conversion

Williamsburg’s ongoing development boom is stretching across all parts of the neighborhood, and includes everything from apartments to hotels and office buildings. But smaller infill is just as important in terms of rounding out the pedestrian realm, and now we have renderings of plans for an old warehouse at 120 North 6th Street, which Kenneth Park Architects will transform into both retail and office space.

Eight-Story Building Revealed At 260 Bowery, Nolita

Lyco Investment Corp. and Nexus Development are planning to build an eight-story, six-unit mixed-use building at 258-260 Bowery, in Nolita, according to Bowery Boogie. The project has not been submitted to the DOB, but permits are already on file to demolish the existing three-story building. A rendering includes some form of commercial space on the ground and second floors, and condos begin on the third floor, meaning full-floor units are likely. Morris Adjmi is designing, and the façade is required to be masonry.


173 Chrystie Street

First Look At 10-Story, 13-Unit Mixed-Use Project At 173 Chrystie Street, Lower East Side

Late last year, YIMBY reported on filings for a 10-story, 13-unit mixed-use building planned at 173-175 Chrystie Street, on the Lower East Side, and now a rendering has surfaced of the project, per Bowery Boogie. The new building will have 1,537 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, and the condos will average roughly 2,000 square feet apiece. Nexus Development is developing, ODA Architecture is designing, and completion is tentatively expected in 2018.
