35-Story Residential & Retail Building On Track At 430 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City

Forest City Enterprises has received $40 million in state tax credits ahead of their planned 35-story, 421-unit mixed-use building at 430 Marin Boulevard, in downtown Jersey City. According to The Jersey Journal, 85 affordable units are being set aside, and the building will feature 10,126 square feet of retail. A second 35-story building is planned next door, and completion of the first is expected in late 2017. The greater development is dubbed Hudson Exchange West, and Perkins Eastman is designing.


550 West 37th Street

Tishman Speyer To Acquire Mixed-Use Development Site At 550 West 37th Street, Hudson Yards

Tishman Speyer is in the process of acquiring the development site at 550 West 37th Street — on 11th Avenue, between West 36th and 37th streets — in the Hudson Yards district, for $185 million. According to Crain’s Business, the parcel boasts 735,000 square feet of mixed-use building potential, but can be expanded to roughly 1.7 million square feet with the purchase of bonus air rights. The developer also plans a significant tower at 435 10th Avenue, a few blocks to the south.


432 Rodney Street

126-Unit Mixed-Use Building Planned At 432 Rodney Street, Williamsburg

Slate Property Group is planning to develop a seven-story, 126-rental-unit mixed-use building from the existing single-story warehouse at 432 Rodney Street, in central Williamsburg. The 99,140 square-foot building will feature nearly 13,950 square feet of retail on the ground floor, and Aufgang Architects is designing.


581 Fourth Avenue

Planned 12-Story, 129-Unit Building At 581 Fourth Avenue Revealed, South Slope

Last December, YIMBY reported on filings calling for a 12-story, 129-unit mixed-use building at 581 Fourth Avenue, in South Slope, and now Curbed has the Karl Fischer-designed reveal. The Rabsky Group is developing the 78,800 square-foot building, which is planned to have nearly 2,400 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Multiple low-rise structures must first be demolished before construction begins.


41-21 28th Street

Excavation Begins At 41-21 28th Street, Site Of 16-Story Building in Long Island City

All Year Management has begun excavation on their planned 16-story, 166-unit mixed-use building at 41-21 28th Street, in Long Island City, reports The Court Square Blog. The Karl Fischer-designed building will measure nearly 127,400 square feet, and a 675 square-foot retail unit is planned on the ground floor. A rough rendering has appeared on-site, and the project is slated for completion in Fall 2016. The site’s former two-story building was demolished late last year.
