Exterior work is closing in on completion on Front & York, a 1.1-million-square-foot residential development at 85 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by CIM Group and LIVWRK, the full-block project consists of a pair of 21-story buildings that rise from a multi-level podium. The property will yield a total of 728 apartments with prices for the 408 condominiums starting around $950,000.

One Clinton’s Façade Installation Wrapping Up in Brooklyn Heights

Façade installation is nearing completion on One Clinton, a 409-foot-tall mixed-use tower at 280 Cadman Plaza West in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Hudson Companies, the 36-story, 295,000-square-foot structure will yield 134 residential units, a 9,000-square-foot STEM research center, and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library to replace the former Brooklyn Heights Library that once stood on the site. One Clinton sits on a narrow triangular plot bound by Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West.

The Willoughby’s Exterior Nears Completion at 196 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is continuing to progress on The Willoughby, a 34-story mixed-use building at 196 Willoughby Street on Long Island University‘s Brooklyn campus in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by RXR Realty, the 435-foot-tall structure is also alternately addressed as 61 DeKalb Avenue and will bring a mix of residential units, academic and office spaces, a new adjacent athletic field, and parking for 564 vehicles. The Willoughby is bound by Willoughby Street to the north, Ashland Place to the east, DeKalb Avenue to the south, and Flatbush Avenue Extension to the west.

Located between Broome Street and Grand Street, the interior lot is within walking distance of Spring Street subway station, serviced by the 6 train. Also nearby is the Grand Street station, serviced by the B and D and Bowery station, serviced by the J and Z trains. Excavation work has begun at 625 Fulton Street, site of a proposed 941-foot tall, 79-story mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Rabsky Group, which purchased the site for $158 million, the 1.8-million-square-foot project is planned to yield a mix of offices, residential units, retail space, an elementary school, and a public plaza. The property is located between Fulton Street to the south, Hudson Avenue to the west, DeKalb Avenue to the north, and Rockwell Place to the east.

RIVET 26 Nears Completion at 26 University Place in Jersey City

Construction is nearing completion on RIVET 26, a new rental building at 26 University Place in Jersey City. Designed by Netta Architects, the property offers 199 residences and is the latest component of the University Place masterplan community near the western edge of the city.

Olympia Passes Halfway Mark at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Construction has passed the halfway mark on Olympia, a 26-story mixed-use residential building at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Developed by Fortis Property Group and designed by Hill West Architects with Workstead handling interiors, the 270-foot-tall structure will yield 76 condominium units. A new teaser site has also been revealed for the property, which is bound by Front Street to the north, Washington Street to the east, and York Street to the south.

Bronx Point and Universal Hip Hop Museum Break Ground in the South Bronx

Sales Launch for FÖRENA at 540 Sixth Avenue In Chelsea, Manhattan

Sales are now underway at FÖRENA, a 12-story residential building at 540 Sixth Avenue in Chelsea. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Landsea Homes and DNA Development, the structure will yield 50 units spread across 80,000 square feet of residential space. Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of The Eklund Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman are handling marketing and sales of the one- to three-bedroom units. Prices begin at $1.3 million for homes at the property, located at the corner of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue.
