Permits have been filed for an eight-story apartment building at 23 Montieth Street, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Stanwix Street and Bushwick Avenue, the vacant lot is just off major thoroughfare Flushing Avenue. Five blocks east of the Flushing Avenue subway station, serviced by the M and J trains. Juan Ramos of Southside United HDFC is listed as the owner behind the applications. The community organization offers resources in the Williamsburg neighborhood including affordable housing, tenant organization, community outreach, a senior residential center, and a local food pantry. They previously filed permits in 2017 for affordable senior housing at the same site.
The second tower at Greenpoint Landing is on its way to topping off sometime this spring. Addressed at 41 Blue Slip, the building will imminently stand 40 stories atop Greenpoint, on Brooklyn’s East River waterfront. The project is being designed by Handel Architects and developed by both Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group. L+M Development Partners is the third developer of Greenpoint Landing, but is not involved with this particular skyscraper. The site is located just off of Commercial Street behind 5 Blue Slip, and sits about a quarter mile to the north of The Greenpoint, aka 21 India Street.
Located at 21 India Street, The Greenpoint sits right off the India Street ferry terminal along the East River. Isolated from the cluster of new towers rising on the waterfront by the Williamsburg Bridge and Greenpoint Landing to the north, it is the tallest skyscraper in the neighborhood. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Mack Real Estate Group, the 39-story residential development is almost complete and will have 500 units composed of condominiums and rentals. The entire 392-foot tall project is set to span 454,502 square feet.
Local developer PYE Properties has revealed detailed plans to restore and expand the historic Coney Island Shore Theatre into a seven-story commercial venture. Originally completed in 1925, the landmarked property at 1301 Surf Avenue has reportedly sat vacant since 1973.
New Day Management, the developers behind 188 Pulaski Street, have exclusively revealed new renderings of their four-story residential project to YIMBY. The building is on the rise in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. The low-rise structure will eventually yield 3,799 square feet of residential area that will be divided into a modest assortment of five residences.
