Morris Adjmi‘s latest condominium project launched leasing this week in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Known simply as ‘NX,’ the property is located at 215 North 10th Street and comprises a collection of 31 residences and lifestyle amenity spaces.
BFC Partners, city agencies, and local community groups recently celebrated the grand opening of Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The community center is named in honor of the late Congressman Major Owens and will offer sports and educational classes, camps, and programming for children and community members.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 360 Shepherd Street in East New York, Brooklyn. Located between Glenmore Avenue and Liberty Avenue, the interior lot is one block north of the Shepherd Street subway station, serviced by the C train. David Horowitz of Apple Realty Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is continuing to rise on Calyer Place, a nearly 1-million-square-foot residential development on the Greenpoint, Brooklyn waterfront. Designed by Cooper Robertson & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and developed by M&H Realty LLC, the project includes a pair of 40-story towers along with 32- and 22-story siblings, and will yield around 700,000 square feet of residential space with 700 apartments, as well as 10,000 square feet of commercial space, 7,160 square feet for unspecified community facility use, and over 600 parking spaces. The land was once home to the historic Greenpoint Terminal Market, which suffered a ten-alarm fire and was demolished in 2017 before site preparations and construction began.
Construction has topped out on the newly renamed Brooklyn Tower, a 93-story supertall skyscraper and the tallest structure in the Outer Boroughs at 9 DeKalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS, the 1,066-foot-tall tower will yield 550 residences, with 150 for purchase and 400 rentals with 30 percent of which reserved at affordable housing rates, as well as a 100,000-square-foot retail podium bound by Flatbush Avenue Extension to the northeast, Fleet Street to the northwest, and DeKalb Avenue to the south. The project also includes the refurbishing and re-purposing of the landmarked Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn, which is being incorporated into the podium. Douglas Elliman is the exclusive marketing, sales, and leasing agent.
