New permits have been filed for a 14-story residential building at 53 Huron Street, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Also known as 161 West Street, the proposed development is located on the Brooklyn waterfront four blocks north of WNYC Transmitter Park. It is steps away from Greenpoint landing on the NYC ferry system, and six blocks west of the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. London-based private equity firm Quadrum Global is responsible for the application.

Up Ventures LLC has revealed new renderings in updated proposals to fully renovate and expand Remsen Manor, in Downtown Brooklyn. Located at 186 Remsen Street, the existing structure is one of the oldest buildings within the boundaries of the Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District.

Sales Launch For Landmarked 75 Greene Avenue In Fort Greene, Brooklyn

The conversion of 75 Greene Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is making headway, and YIMBY has word that sales have now officially launched for the project. As a landmarked structure, the exterior is being preserved and renovated while the interiors will house 22 units. The project is being developed by Douglaston Development and financed by G4 Capital Partners. Units will range from $845,000 to $2.6 million, and 20 percent are already under contract.

The Hudson Companies Reveals New Renderings of 350 Clarkson Avenue, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens

In a recent reveal, The Hudson Companies released updated renderings of a new, mixed-use residential project on the rise at 350 Clarkson Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture, the building’s 227,000 square feet will comprise 250 market-rate rentals, office space, ground floor retail, and a potential community facility.

Located on an interior lot between Bedford Avenue and Nostrand Avenue, the site is steps away from the G train at the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues subway station. One block east is the Herbert Von King Park and the Hattie Carthan Community Garden. Noam Amos of AUM Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

One Clinton Officially Launches Sales in Brooklyn Heights

Developed by The Hudson Companies Inc., the Marvel Architects-designed tower is being marketed by the Cornell Marshall Team from the Corcoran Group, with the sales gallery located at 157 Remsen Street. The imminently 38-story tower is set to be completed next year.

Brookland Capital’s Bed-Stuy Conversion at 524-534 Halsey Street Returns to the LPC for a Third Round of Approvals

New York YIMBY’s 2019 Construction Report Shows Impressive 70% Year-Over-Year Surge in Multi-Family Housing Filings

Once again, January has arrived, alongside New York YIMBY’s annual pipeline report. After our mid-2018 update portended a banner year for new construction, the 2019 report has confirmed it, as the total number of multi-family units filed with the Department of Buildings saw a tremendous surge over the past 365 days. 2018 saw 32,580 multi-family units filed with the DOB, beating 2017’s total of 19,180 units by a whopping 70%. The full 2019 report, containing all 2,482 of 2018’s new building filings in spreadsheet format, is available at the following link for $199.
