LPC To Review Renovation Proposal For 145 Wyckoff Street In Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is set to review a proposal for modifications to 145 Wyckoff Street, a three-story, three-unit residential building in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. The proposal calls for a two-story rear yard extension, an 8-foot-deep full-width enlargement at the basement level, and an 8-foot-deep partial-width (7 feet 7 inches) enlargement at the first floor. Notably, the addition will not be visible from Wyckoff, Bond, Bergen, or Hoyt Streets.

2605 Snyder Avenue Completes Construction in Flatbush, Brooklyn

Construction is complete on 2605 Snyder Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by S. Wieder Architect and developed by Anshel Friedman of Artist Construction LLC, the 74-foot-tall structure yields 62 rental units  with an average scope of 1,315 square feet, including 19 reserved for affordable housing. The project also features 3,456 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located along Snyder Avenue between Rogers Avenue and Veronica Place.

NYC Restarts Work On Four Bus, Bike Lane Projects In Brooklyn And The Bronx

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) will restart four previously halted street redesign projects aimed at improving bus reliability and traffic safety in The Bronx and Brooklyn. The initiatives include a new bus lane on Fordham Road in The Bronx and three protected bike lane projects across Brooklyn neighborhoods including Fort Greene, Flatbush, and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. NYC DOT will oversee implementation, with construction scheduled to begin this spring.

Brooklyn Community Board 1 has voted to support the proposed Monitor Point development at 40–56 Quay Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by The Gotham Organization, the three-tower project will rise 600, 450, and 230 feet and deliver 1,150 residential units along the Bushwick Inlet waterfront. The board voted 24–9 in favor of the proposal, marking the first local government body to formally back the project as it advances through the city’s land use review process.
