Renovation Planned for Apartment Buildings at 239-245 Ocean Parkway, Kensington

BCB Property Management has acquired two four-story apartment buildings spanning 239-245 Ocean Parkway, in northern Kensington, for $10.3 million, reports the Commercial Observer. The buildings have 32 residential units, half of which are rent-stabilized. The other 16 units are vacant. The new owner plans to renovate the buildings.

In the fall of 2013, architect De-Jan Lu filed plans for a seven-story, 133-unit apartment building at 125 Borinquen Place in Williamsburg, only a block and a half from the BQE. Now YIMBY can reveal a slew of renderings for the development, which will fill a triangular lot at the corner of Borinquen, South 2nd and Rodney Streets.

Six-Story Mixed-Use Project Tops Out at 79 Grand Street in Williamsburg

Brownstoner reports that the six-story, five-unit mixed-use building at 79 Grand Street in Williamsburg has topped-out. A retail component will measure nearly 1,590 square feet on the ground level, and Philip Toscano Architects is designing. The nearly 8,000 square-foot building is currently getting its façade, and completion is likely later this year.
