Construction is nearing completion on 1515 Surf Avenue, a two-tower residential project along the Coney Island waterfront in Brooklyn. Designed by Studio V Architecture and developed by LCOR, the 16- and 26-story structures will span 470,000 square feet and yield 324 units in one- and two-bedroom layouts, with 139 apartments designated for affordable housing, as well as 10,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space. 1522 First Avenue Stands Topped Out On Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is closing in on the parapet of 1522 First Avenue, a 30-story medical office building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Extell, the 449-foot-tall structure will yield 400,000 square feet of Class A office space and retail space on the ground floor and cellar levels. The Hospital for Special Surgery will serve as the anchor tenant, occupying 200,000 square feet across the first eight stories of the building. The property is alternately addressed as 403 East 79th Street and located between East 79th and 80th Streets.

New renderings have been revealed for Williamsburg Wharf, a 3.75-acre mixed-use development at 464-484 Kent Avenue on the South Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn. Developed by Naftali Group and Access Industries, the multi-phase master plan will yield approximately 1 million square feet of residential, commercial, and retail space, along with a public esplanade stretching nearly 525 feet along the East River. Williamsburg Wharf will feature five 22-story residential towers housing nearly 850 condominium and rental units designed by Brandon Haw Architecture, COOKFOX Architects, Rockwell Group, Ward + Gray, Studio Munge, and Hill West Architects. SERHANT New Development is handling sales and marketing for the first residential tower, with sales slated to launch later this year. The site is bound by South 10th Street to the north, Division Avenue to the south, Kent Avenue to the east, and Wallabout Channel to the west.

Construction has topped out on Edgemere Commons’ second all-affordable housing structure at 5119 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, Queens. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Tishman Speyer’s TS Communities, the company’s affordable housing development platform, and The Arker Companies and Slate Property Group, the 247,000-square-foot structure will yield 237 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 36 reserved for the formerly homeless, as well as 8,000 square feet of retail space and 7,500 square feet of community facility space. The building, also know as Edgemere Commons Building B1, is situated between Beach 50th and Beach 53rd Streets.
