1515 Surf Avenue Nears Completion in Coney Island, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 1515 Surf Avenue, a two-tower residential project along the Coney Island waterfront in Brooklyn. Designed by Studio V Architecture and developed by LCOR, the 16- and 26-story structures will span 470,000 square feet and yield 324 units in one- and two-bedroom layouts, with 139 apartments designated for affordable housing, as well as 10,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located on a 1.5-acre plot bound by Surf Avenue to the south, West 15th Street to the east, and West 16th Street to the west.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Burrelli NYC Apartments, a seven-story mixed-use building at 23-09 Broadway in Astoria, Queens. Designed by NDKazalas Architecture and developed by Ilir Cupi under the Everest 2309 Broadway LLC, the structure yields 10 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $77,143 to $218,010.

Renderings Revealed Astoria Cove’s 4-34 26th Avenue, 25-02 9th Street in Astoria, Queens

New renderings have been released for two new residential buildings in the Astoria Cove master plan at 25-02 9th Street and 4-34 26th Avenue in the Halletts Point section of Astoria, Queens. Designed by Fogarty Finger, the structures will stand 26 and seven stories, respectively, and are part of a complex that is planned to yield a total of 469 apartments and 14,500 square feet of commercial space across four buildings. The property is located to the west of 9th Street along the East River waterfront.

Designed by Asher Hershkowitz Architect and developed by Jacob Jacobs under Dean Street Realty LLC, the structure yields nine residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are eight units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $105,223 to $181,740.

Affordable Housing Development Completes Construction at 521 Pine Brook Road in New Rochelle

Governor Kathy Hochul recently announced the completion of The Renaissance at Lincoln Park, a $96 million affordable housing development located at 521 Pine Brook Road in New Rochelle. The project will boast 179 mixed-income apartments and 356 parking spaces.

Public Review Process Begins For “City Of Yes For Housing Opportunity” Proposal

Edgemere Commons Building B1 Tops Out at 5119 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, Queens

Construction has topped out on Edgemere Commons’ second all-affordable housing structure at 5119 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, Queens. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Tishman Speyer’s TS Communities, the company’s affordable housing development platform, and The Arker Companies and Slate Property Group, the 247,000-square-foot structure will yield 237 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 36 reserved for the formerly homeless, as well as 8,000 square feet of retail space and 7,500 square feet of community facility space. The building, also know as Edgemere Commons Building B1, is situated between Beach 50th and Beach 53rd Streets.

130 East 177th Street Nears Completion in Mount Hope, The Bronx

Construction is nearing completion on 130 East 177th Street, a 12-story residential building in Mount Hope, The Bronx. Designed by Marin Architects and developed by HMC Inc, a third-party real estate and financial arm of The Postgraduate Center for Mental Health (PCMH), the 123-foot-tall structure spans 55,987 square feet and will yield 78 rental units with an average scope of 674 square feet, as well as 3,390 square feet of community facility space on the ground floor, a cellar level, six enclosed parking spaces, and a 41-foot-long rear yard. CHC Management Group is listed as the owner of the property, which is located between Grand Concourse to the east and Morris Avenue to the west.

201-207 Seventh Avenue Tops Out in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 201-207 Seventh Avenue, a nine-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Amie Gross Architects and developed by New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development under the Chelsea HDFC, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 30,859 square feet and yield 26 affordable co-op units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 1,828 square feet of retail space divided among three tenants. The property is alternately addressed as 170 West 22nd Street and located at the southeast corner of Seventh Avenue and West 22nd Street.
