106 West 56th Street’s Setbacks Begin Taking Shape, in Midtown

Construction at 106 West 56th Street is ascending quickly. The multiple setbacks of the building’s northern elevation are beginning to take shape as the steel climbs toward its 403-foot planned height. The 27-story office tower is being designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by private equity firm Savanna Fund, along with Hong Kong-based developer Atom Assets. The site is located between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, just one block south of 57th Street, aka Billionaires’ Row. The closest subway is the F train at the 57 Street station on Sixth Avenue, while the N, Q, R, and W trains are to the west on Seventh Avenue and West 57th Street.

Turkevi Center at 821 First Avenue Rising Quickly Above Turtle Bay, in Midtown East

Construction on the Turkevi Center at 821 First Avenue, in the Midtown East neighborhood of Turtle Bay, is making quick headway. The future 35-story home for the consulate of the Republic of Turkey is located between East 45th Street and East 46th Street. The glass skyscraper will reach 563 feet when it tops out in the coming months. Perkins Eastman is the designer of the mixed-use tower.

76 Bowery Tops Out in Chinatown

76 Bowery Street recently topped out over Chinatown. The eight-story reinforced concrete structure sits in front of the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge between Canal Street and Hester Street. The new 85-foot-tall building is located within the “Dimond Center” of Chinatown, where a number of small jewelry shops line the busy streets. It is being designed by C3D Architecture and will include 14,488 square feet of office space. Titan Realty & Construction is the general contractor and is overseeing the build.

New Rendering Spotted for 208 Delancey Street, ODA’s Upcoming Lower East Side Residential Project

On their Instagram page, ODA Architecture recently released a new rendering for its upcoming mixed-use residential project at 208 Delancey Street. The site is located on the Lower East Side near the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge, between Pitt Street and Ridge Street on an L-shaped plot. Designers were forced to work around an existing five-story building on the corner of Delancey and Pitt, adding to the structure’s distinctive look. 208 Delancey Street is being developed by New Empire Real Estate Development while Shiming Tam Architect is serving as the architect of record. The closest subway is the F train at the Delancey Street subway station while access to the Williamsburg Bridge is only about five blocks away to the west.
