YIMBY Tours Brookfield’s Manhattan West Development, First Look at Rooftop Views

Brookfield has officially celebrated the topping out of the 67-story One Manhattan West, aka OMW, the largest of six structures in their six million square foot Manhattan West development in Midtown West. The project has successfully lured several large companies to lease, and plans to add a significant amount of public space to the city. New Renderings of The Forman Building’s Expansion at 29 Jay Street Surface as Proposal Returns to the Landmark Preservation Commission

​Marvel Architects and Forman Group will again present proposals to New York City’s Landmark Preservation Commission in an effort to redevelop an existing two-story building for office and retail use​ at 29 Jay Street in Brooklyn. Located in the DUMBO Historic District, completion of “The Forman Building” would require zoning amendments to allow for a higher than approved street wall, mixed-use designation, and facade design.

80 Flatbush Redesigned and Approved, Tallest Tower Scaled Back to 840′

The City Council has unanimously approved the controversial 80 Flatbush project in Boerum Hill after a reduction in size and scale. While the drop in density is not ideal, the the buildings will still be a large player for the housing market and community at large, and will punctuate the neighborhood’s skyline with two new towers that appear both prominent and promising in terms of design.

Boutique Office Building Will Rise at 799 Broadway in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

At the intersection of Broadway and East 11th Street andon the edge of Greenwich Village, a new boutique office will soon rise at 799 Broadway thanks to a $70 million purchase by Columbia Property Trust, according to Crain’s. Columbia received a nearly 50% stake in the sale, and will join co-owner Normandy Real Estate Partners. The current structure today will eventually be demolished to make way for the new glass building that will span around 180,000 square feet, and stand 12 stories tall.
