A crowning “Welcome” at 30 Columbia Heights, better known as Panorama, is now in full view above the Brooklyn Heights waterfront. The new sign replaces the iconic Watchtower sign that stood as a signifier of the now-removed Jehovah’s Witness headquarters that formerly occupied the building.
Last month, YIMBY posted the first look at plans and renderings for 270 Park Avenue, which will become the future headquarters for JPMorgan Chase. The structural behemoth will become one of the largest office buildings in the Five Boroughs upon completion, totaling 2.5 million square feet and rising approximately 1,425 feet to its pinnacle. Today, we have another look at the project thanks to visualization firm ATCHAIN. While this image is the most refined of what has been revealed to date, differences in the silhouette between this version and the one leaked in a JPMorgan Chase report accompanying YIMBY’s last post indicate that this specific version could already be outdated relative to the previous reveal.
L&L Holding Company has partnered with Standard Arts on a new public art exhibition at the base of 200 Fifth Avenue, following a $135 million renovation of the Flatiron District building. The installation is titled “Pixel Garden” and was completed by Latin American artist Gustavo Prado.
Construction is making vertical progress at 1245 Broadway in NoMad, the site of a 23-story Skidmore Owings and Merrill-designed commercial office building. The 318-foot-tall, 200,000-square-foot project is being co-developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern and built by Triton Construction. CBRE has begun leasing the building’s class A office space, and is also in charge of leasing for the ground-floor retail component.
The exterior of The Warehouse, aka 520 West 20th Street, is getting closer to completion in West Chelsea. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Elijah Equities, the mixed-use office development is located close to the High Line between West 19th Street and West 20th Street. The project features the restored 50-foot-tall brick façade of a former industrial building topped by a new suspended and cantilevering steel structure that brings the total height to 105 feet.
