Payoneer to Relocate Headquarters to 195 Broadway in Financial District, Manhattan

Financial technology firm Payoneer has finalized a ten-year lease agreement to move its headquarters to 195 Broadway in Manhattan’s Financial District. The company will occupy a 42,000-square-foot space spanning the entire 27th floor of the historic 29-story Neoclassical building starting in spring of 2024. This relocation marks one of the more significant office relocations from Midtown to Lower Manhattan this year.

At number 27 on our annual construction countdown is 1 Java Street, a two-tower residential development along the East River in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed and built by Lendlease, which secured a $360 million construction loan at the end of 2022, the project will yield 834 rental units across the two structures, the taller of which will stand 37 stories and 402 feet tall. Aware Super is the joint developer, INC Architecture & Design is the interior designer for the public areas, and Crème is the interior designer for the townhouse units at the complex, which is alternately addressed as 18 India Street and occupies a full block bound by India Street to the north, Java Street to the south, West Street to the east, and the India Street pier over the East River to the west.

Foundations have reached street level at 18 West 55th Street, the site of a 26-story residential building in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed and built by Skyline Developers under the 18 West 55th Street LLC, which purchased the property for $83 million in 2017, the 289-foot-tall structure will span 152,084 square feet and yield 97 rental units with an average scope of 1,319 square feet, as well as 6,380 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 10,343-square-foot cellar level. The development sits on a formerly vacant interior lot next to the Peninsula Hotel between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
