Futuristic DUMBO Skyscraper Revealed in Concept Renderings From Studio SENK

Netherlands-based design firm Studio SENK teamed up with DMOO, a rendering company, to visualize a new residential tower in DUMBO, and YIMBY has a first look at the impressive concept. The glass skyscraper would stand between the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge, with a base rising from within the atrium of the recently-completed Empire Stores, and an upper portion that would finally give DUMBO an iconic presence on the overall Brooklyn skyline.

Developers Propose New Marquee Entrance at the Landmarked Williamsburgh Savings Bank, at 175 Broadway, in Brooklyn

The Landmarks Preservation Commission is reviewing proposals to install a new entrance marquee at the iconic Williamsburgh Savings Bank, in Brooklyn. The property’s official address is 175 Broadway, and it was originally constructed in 1875 by American architect George B. Post. The formidable structure most notably features a large domed tower and an adjacent low-rise structure.

Future Supertall 50 Hudson Yards Reaches Street Level, in Hudson Yards

Recent photos from Tectonic show major progress at 50 Hudson Yards, the last and largest skyscraper to rise in the first phase of Related’s Hudson Yards master plan. The future commercial office building, designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Related Companies, Oxford Properties, and Mitsui Fudosan, will rise 1,011 feet tall and contain 2.9 million square feet of space. The site takes up one full city block just north of 30 Hudson Yards, and sits to the east of the 7 train entrance at Hudson Park.
