Affordable Housing Lottery Opens for 95 Units at 14 Lecount Place in New Rochelle

The Housing Action Council in New Rochelle is now accepting applications for 14 Lecount Place in the downtown neighborhood. Developed by Wilder Balter Partners and L+M Development Partners, the 27-story mixed-use new-construction building is expected to open this fall with 285 market-rate apartments and 95 affordable rental units. The 457,000-square-foot project is designed by Beyer Blinder Belle. Additional components include 6,200 square feet of retail space, parking, and residential amenities.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 312 97th Street, a six-story mixed-use building in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Designed by Rybak Architects, the structure yields 15 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $73,715 to $167,570.

Stevens Institute Of Technology’s Expansion Nears Completion In Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction is almost complete on Stevens Institute of Technology‘s new two-tower Student Housing and University Center in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Design Collective and Wallace Roberts and Todd, the 392,000-square-foot structure is comprised of 16- and 18-story towers rising from a 70,000-square-foot podium, and is the largest expansion in the institute’s history. The new building will accommodate 994 students, bringing Stevens’ cumulative resident capacity up to 3,500. The project is located along the Hudson River waterfront and is expected to cost $256 million.

Lenders Confirm $183M Financing Package for 258-278 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan

Square Mile Capital and Pacific Western Bank are set to provide $183 million in construction financing for a 12-story mixed-use property at 258-278 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan. A new Target retail store will occupy 28,000 square feet of the building’s lower levels. Above these floors, the development will house 190 rental apartments and associated amenities.

Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, the property yields 61 one- to five-bedroom units with interiors designed by Ryan Korban. Sales and marketing are being led by Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing: New York fame, as well as John Gomes and Sarah Burke of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Edmund Hollander Design is carrying out the landscaping for the private outdoor terraces and the 5,600-square-foot rear courtyard.

LPC Considers Window Replacement for 260 West End Avenue in Lincoln Square, Manhattan

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is now reviewing proposals to replace all existing windows at 260 West End Avenue, a 15-story cooperative building in Lincoln Square, Manhattan.
