77-Unit Supportive Housing Building Planned At 110 Port Richmond Avenue, Port Richmond

Saint Joseph’s Medical Center plans to purchase the dilapidated two-story structure at 108-110 Port Richmond Avenue, on Staten Island’s North Shore, and develop a 77-unit supportive housing facility, according to DNAinfo. Fifty units will be set aside for those suffering from mental illnesses, while the remaining 27 units will be rented at below-market rates. The state will approve the plans after the community has 75 days to express concerns.

UPDATE: while permits would seem to indicate condominium’s given the developer’s LLC, a rep for HTO has corrected YIMBY, and 411 Ninth Avenue will actually have rentals.

A sliver lot on the northwest corner of Ninth Avenue and 33rd Street has remained vacant for quite some time, but YIMBY now has the reveal for the building that will soon rise at 411 Ninth Avenue. HTO Architect is designing the project, which has been dubbed Skylight House.

30-Story Building At 90 Sands Street To Be Converted Into 600-Key Public Hotel, Dumbo

Kushner Companies and RFR Realty are teaming up with Ian Schrager to develop a Public Hotel at the six-building Dumbo Heights redevelopment, in Dumbo, according to the New York Post. At 90 Sands Street, the 30-story, 508-room Jehovah’s Witness residential hotel could to be transformed into a nearly 600-key hotel, with up to 100,000 square feet of amenity and meeting space.
