21-Story, 24-Unit Residential Project Tops Out At 19 Park Place, Tribeca

YIMBY has chronicled the slow evolution of ABN Realty’s 21-story, 24-unit residential project at 19 Park Place, in Tribeca, since the summer of 2013, and now a YIMBY reader has shared photos of the topped-out structure. The façade can also be seen rising skyward, and each condominium will feature a relatively prominent circular balcony. The 25-foot-wide building is being designed by Ismael Leyva, and extends through the block. Completion is likely by early 2016.

Permits Filed: 14 Wythe Avenue, Greenpoint Distillery

Williamsburg is already home to the famous Brooklyn Brewery and the New York Distilling Company, and it looks like a new distiller may be setting up shop just over the border in Greenpoint. New building applications were filed for a three-story commercial building with a distillery on the ground floor at 14 Wythe Avenue, on a wedge-shaped lot bounded by Gem, Banker and North 15th Streets.

Seven-Story, 23-Unit Mixed-Use Project Underway At 97-30 64th Avenue, Rego Park

Late last year, YIMBY reported on applications for a seven-story, 23-unit mixed-use building at 97-30 64th Avenue, in Rego Park, two blocks from the subway stop at 63rd Drive on the M and R trains. Now, DNAinfo reports construction is underway, and a rendering has appeared at the site. The building will have condominiums, which will be on the smaller side, averaging 720 square feet. Community facility space will measure 4,000 square feet on the lower portion of the building. Rego Park-based Hang Chen, with CZK Realty LLC, are developing, and Flushing-based Tan Architect is designing.

221 Bergen Street

Four-Story, 104-Unit Residential Complex At 221 Bergen Street Complete, Harrison, NJ

The Hampshire Companies’ four-story, 104-unit residential complex at 221 Bergen Street, in Harrison, New Jersey — located a few blocks away from the PATH station — is now open for occupancy, according to Real Estate Weekly. CrownPoint Group is also a partner in the project, and the residential units will all be rentals. Ground broke on the project only a year ago. The building’s amenities include a lounge, fitness room, garage and storage areas, and a rooftop terrace.

217 9th Street

Seven-Story, 13-Unit Mixed-Use Building Filed At 217 9th Street, Gowanus

Property owner Praim Singh has filed applications for a seven-story, 13-unit mixed-use building at 217 9th Street, in southern Gowanus, right around the corner from subway stops on the R, F and G trains. The building will measure 13,500 square feet in total, which includes a 2,990 square-foot medical facility on the ground floor. Residential units begin on the second floor and will average 808 square feet apiece. Peter Gee’s South Slope-based architectural firm is designing, and an existing three-story structure must first be demolished.
