452-Key Marriott EDITION at 20 Times Square Plans For February Opening

20 Times Square, aka 701 Seventh Avenue, is almost complete. The tower already has one of the largest LED screens in Times Square, spanning a whopping 18,000 square feet. In February, doors will officially open to the 517-foot, 42-story, 452-key Marriott Edition hotel, wrapped in glass panels and topped with the logo on its western and southern facades. Witkoff, Ian Schrager Company, Winthrop Realty Trust, and Maefield Development are the developers, while Platt Byard Dovell White Architects (PBDW Architects) is the project’s architect.

Hello Living Acquires 4650 Broadway for $55 Million, Releases New Renderings

Hello Living’s first foray into Manhattan development will be a pricey one. The Brooklyn-based full-service real estate development firm announced earlier this week their plans to acquire 4650 Broadway in Inwood. If that address rings a bell, it’s because FBE Limited purchased the site this past spring from Acadia Realty Trust for $26 million. At $55 million, Hello Living paid more than twice that for 370,039 buildable square feet.

New permits have been filed for a four-story hotel at 1998 Webster Avenue, in The West Bronx. Located on the corner of main thoroughfare Webster Avenue and Alden Place, this site is close to Richman Echo Park. The lot is about three blocks from the Metro-North Tremont train station, and a 10 minute walk from the Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Samir Patel is responsible for the development, who previously filed for permits for this site in 2016.
