Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 11655 Seaview Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Seaview Avenue and Fountain Avenue, the corner lot is closest to the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Apex Building Group under the VBK C3 Owner LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 64-foot-tall development will yield 107,814 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 123 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 876 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have 11 enclosed parking spaces.

Daniel Heuberger of Dattner Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. “the corner lot is closest to the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains.”

I see notes like this in every article, even for buildings, like this one, that are almost 2 miles from the noted subway stop. It’s misleading. That subway stop is not within reasonable walking distance and would require a bus ride. Anything over half a mile walk from the subway stop being mentioned should be pointed-out in the article. To simply say “the closest subway stop is…” is just lazy writing.

Is this a related component to what you reported on at 888 Fountain Ave on 7/17/2021, or are they just adjacent developments?

Its a 35 minute walk to the subway at new lots avenue, busses arent much better either. Not sure how you get there without a car, so this has to be some sort of assisted living, not rentals.
