Back in June, the 22-story, 176-key Aloft Hotel, underway at 27-45 Jackson Avenue, in Long Island City, was up to the fourth floor. Since then, construction has progressed quickly, and the structure now stands 18 stories, per The Court Square Blog. The building will measure 68,160 square feet in total, and will front Hunter Street with an eight-story component. Gene Kaufman is designing, and completion is expected next spring.

Eight-Story, 62-Key Hotel Building Now Planned At 822 4th Avenue, Greenwood

Over a year ago, YIMBY reported on filings for a nine-story, 72-key mixed-use hotel project at 822 Fourth Avenue, in Greenwood, four blocks south of the R train’s stop on 25th Street. Yesterday, the building was resubmitted to the DOB with slight downward revisions, probably due to zoning restrictions. Sunset Park-based Signature Management Enterprises is still the developer, and the building will now rise eight stories and have 62 hotel rooms. Healthcare facilities will span 18,000 square feet across floors two through four, and Chi F. Lau is the architect of record.

Planned 38-Story, 310-Key Hotel Filed At 1150 Sixth Avenue In Midtown

In August of 2014, YIMBY revealed renderings of Fortuna Realty’s planned luxury hotel building at 1150 Sixth Avenue, in Midtown between West 44th and 45th Streets, and now the developer has filed applications for the project. The 38-story, 310-key hotel will stand 415 feet tall and measure 138,458 square feet. Hotel rooms will average 447 square feet and begin on the fourth floor. The lobby, a lounge, spa, restaurant, ballroom, and meeting spaces will all be located on the lower levels. Ismael Leyva is the architect of record, and permits were filed last May to demolish an eight-story building.
