It looks like Billionaires’ Row is about to get another supertall in the near future. Plans for a mixed-use 1,100-foot-tall tower at 41-47 West 57th Street have been spotted according to the New York DOB, where the applicant, BOB 57, LLC., proposes a 63-story supertall with just under 443,100 square feet of newly built space. About 237,100 square feet will be devoted toward residential usage with 119 units, while nearly 205,100 square feet of commercial space will make room for a 158-room hotel and a 10,212-square-foot restaurant. The Midtown, Manhattan site is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and has frontage along both West 57th and West 58th Streets. This would be the tallest structure between SHoP Architects‘ 111 West 57th Street and Rafael Vinoly‘s 432 Park Avenue.
Construction on the ground-up Margaritaville Resort New York at 560 Seventh Avenue wraps up work in Times Square. Designed by Stonehill Taylor and developed by Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties along with MHP Real Estate Services, the topped out 32-story, 375-foot-tall tower looks like it will open in the coming months and yield 234 guest rooms with island-inspired interior designs. The Midtown, Manhattan project is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 40th Street and is expected to cost around $300 million. The McBride Company is handling the interiors.
Construction is wrapping up on The Central at 5th, a 367-foot-tall Hilton Grand Vacation Hotel at 12 East 48th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Hidrock Realty, the 31-story structure will yield 161 rooms across 125,000 square feet. DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, The Rinaldi Group is the general contractor, and IBA Consulting & Engineering, PLLC is the envelope consultant for the building, which is located between Madison Avenue to the east and Fifth Avenue to the west.
Exterior work is nearing completion on 120 Water Street, a 28-story Hotel Indigo in the Financial District. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architects and developed by Atlas Hospitality, the 52,000-square-foot structure is located along Water Street between Pine and Wall Streets and will yield 128 rooms managed by Fortuna Realty Group.
Exterior work is shaping up on 21-16 44th Drive, an eight story mixed-use building in Long Island City, Queens. Alternately addressed as 21-18 44th Drive, the structure is designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Amsterdam Hospitality and will yield a mix of ground-floor retail space, 40 hotel rooms measuring around 250 square feet each, and 29 homes averaging just under 700 square feet apiece. The site is located along 44th Drive between 21st Street and 23rd Street.
