Sales Launch for Greenwich West at 110 Charlton Street, West Soho

Sales have launched for the 30-story tower rising at 110 Charlton Street off the corner of its intersection with Greenwich, which has been officially dubbed Greenwich West. It will stand fairly prominently amongst its neighborhood surrounds, reaching a final height of 290 feet when complete. Strategic Capital, Cape Advisors, and Forum Absolute Capital Partners are the developers for the nearly 226,000 square foot project, which will yield 170 loft-style apartments designed by Paris-based architecture firm Loci Anima, with Adamson Associates serving as architect of record. Interiors are being designed by Sebastien Segers. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales of the units, starting at $965,000, with the first closings expected in early 2020.

272 West 10th Street’s Expansion in West Village to be Reviewed by LPC

Located in the West Village, and bound by West 10th Street, Washington Street, and Greenwich Street, a new proposed expansion for the Village Community School is currently being reviewed by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Approval would potentially bring a four-story addition, designed by Marvel Architects, to the eastern side of the property, at the corner of West 10th Street and Greenwich Street. The corner is currently the site of the school playground, originally built in 1945. The school and project site are located among two historic districts in Greenwich Village, sitting on the southwest corner of the established areas.

Plans Revealed for 13-Story Mixed-Use Building at 1640 Flatbush Avenue in Midwood, Brooklyn

Located at 1640 Flatbush Avenue, plans for a new 145-foot-tall and 13-story mixed-use building to be designed by S9 Architecture and developed by SL Green Realty Corporation are now heading to the city for approval. Just a short walk from Brooklyn College, the new structure would have 115,056 square feet of new space, with 114 residential units. About thirty percent will be affordable, totaling 34, and the remaining 80 will let for market rates. Retail opportunity will be on the first two floors taking nearly 30,000 square feet.

Permits Filed For 143 Winthrop Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn

Located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Prospect Lefferts Gardens to the east of Prospect Park will be a new four-story residential project at 143 Winthrop Street. Permits were filed earlier this week that call for a new ground-up structure with a basement level and a total of 10 units built within masonry walls. The designer is Palette Architecture, while the developer is Navin Ramsumdar of N&N Consulting Corp.

Major Expansion Plans Revealed for The Hebrew Home of Riverdale at 5701-5961 Palisade Avenue, The Bronx

Gary Tarnoff of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP has filed applications to build a new long term care facility, called The Hebrew Home of Riverdale, to be located at 5701-5961 Palisade Avenue in The Bronx, likely on behalf of the institution. The filings to construct a new center to the north of the existing facility show it would contain 137 nonprofit residential units for the elderly, 105 assisted living units, 607 skilled nursing beds, and 386 independent senior living units. The project will also come with 509 new parking spaces, with its entire scope clocking in at 1.4 million square feet.
