The Wheeler Stands Completed at 181 Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is complete on The Wheeler, a mixed-use development at 181 Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and Shimoda Design Group and developed by Tishman Speyer, the project involved the construction of modern 14-story, 256-foot-tall addition atop a historic Art Deco building containing a Macy’s department store. The steel-framed addition yields 843,830 square feet of new commercial space above the Macy’s, which spans the first four floors. Offices take up the remaining 90,000 square feet and feature 16-foot-tall ceiling heights. The property is also addressed as 422 Fulton Street.

Brooklyn Point’s Exterior Work Reaches Final Stages in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is wrapping up on Extell‘s Brooklyn Point, a 68-story residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 1 City Point and 138 Willoughby Street, the 720-foot-tall tower currently stands as the tallest building in the borough. The project, which is the third and final component in the City Point complex, is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and will yield 458 units with interior design by Katherine Newman. Homes range from studios to three-bedroom layouts with pricing from $850,000 to nearly $4 million.

The Symon’s Exterior Stands Complete at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights

Exterior work is complete on The Symon, a 13-story condominium building at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Colberg Architecture served as the architect of record and Lonicera Partners, Orange Management, and The Davis Companies are the three developers of the address. The property features 59 units with interior design by Studio DB, which also led the design of the curtain wall. The project is located between Boerum Place and Court Street along the border with Boerum Hill.

One Boerum Place’s Brick Façade Continues Progress in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is continuing to take shape at One Boerum Place, a 21-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Avery Hall Investments, Allegra Holdings, and Aria Development Group, the project will yield 122 units and is expected to cost around $250 million.

30-60 Front Street Rises Above Street Level in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Construction is now two floors above ground at 30-60 Front Street, a 26-story mixed-use building in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group, the 270-foot-tall project will yield 74 apartments, averaging 2,400 square feet apiece. The site is bound by Front Street to the north, Washington Street to the nearby east, and York Street to the south.

22 Chapel Street Tops Out Over Downtown Brooklyn

Construction has topped out at 22 Chapel Street, a 20-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Delshah Capital and OTL Enterprises, the 211-foot-tall structure spans 133,181 square feet and will yield 180 apartments, of which 25 will be designated for affordable housing. 22 Chapel Street will also be the home of START Treatment & Recovery Centers, New York’s largest independent drug treatment agency.

540 Fulton Street’s Curtain Wall Installation Progresses in Downtown Brooklyn

Façade installation is steadily progressing at 540 Fulton Street, a 511-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management, the project will yield 327 residential units, as well as 71,844 square feet of commercial space and 22,054 square feet of retail on the lower podium floors. The residences will take up about 239,142 square feet of the total 330,00 square feet.

The Willoughby’s Glass Façade Installation Progresses at 196 Willoughby in Downtown Brooklyn

Curtain wall installation is moving along on The Willoughby, a 34-story structure at 196 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by RXR Realty, the 435-foot-tall structure is part of the ongoing expansion of Long Island University‘s Brooklyn campus. The development, which is alternately addressed as 61 DeKalb Avenue, will bring a mixture of residential units, academic and office space, a new athletic field, and parking for 564 vehicles.

11 Hoyt Street’s Exterior Nears Completion in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction continues to move toward completion at 11 Hoyt Street, a 57-story residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Developed by Tishman Speyer and designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang with Hill West Architects as the architect of record, the 620-foot-tall structure stands out on the skyline with its distinctive rippling façade. Michaelis Boyd Associates is leading the interior design for the property’s 481 residential units, which come in 190 unique layouts. Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of the landscaping for the building’s private outdoor green spaces.

One Willoughby Square’s Exterior Continues to Take Shape in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is progressing at One Willoughby Square, a 495-foot-tall office skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 420 Albee Square, the project is designed by FXCollaborative and being developed by JEMB Realty, and will yield 500,000 square feet of Class A office space. Gilbane Building Company is in charge of constructing the reinforced concrete edifice, which stands as the tallest new office building in Brooklyn.
