Excavation Begins At 41-21 28th Street, Site Of 16-Story Building in Long Island City

All Year Management has begun excavation on their planned 16-story, 166-unit mixed-use building at 41-21 28th Street, in Long Island City, reports The Court Square Blog. The Karl Fischer-designed building will measure nearly 127,400 square feet, and a 675 square-foot retail unit is planned on the ground floor. A rough rendering has appeared on-site, and the project is slated for completion in Fall 2016. The site’s former two-story building was demolished late last year.

Single-Story, Three-Unit Retail Building Replacing Gas Station At 108-01 Atlantic Avenue, Richmond Hill

Property owner Simkho Aranbayev has filed applications for a single-story, roughly 7,600 square-foot commercial-retail building spanning 108-01 – 108-13 Atlantic Avenue, in eastern Richmond Hill. The building will have three retail units, and Dal H Chun Engineer is the applicant of record. The existing gas station was approved for demolition earlier this year.


43-25 Hunter Street

50-Story Tower Rises Above Street Level at 43-25 Hunter Street, Long Island City

In December, foundation work began on the 50-story, 974-unit mixed-use building planned at 43-25 Hunter Street, in Long Island City’s Court Square. Rebar and concrete have now reached the second story of the 786,105 square-foot building, which will feature 18,800 square feet of retail, according to The Court Square Blog. Rockrose is developing, and SLCE is the architect. YIMBY revealed renderings in 2014, and completion is scheduled for the middle of 2017.
